Founded in 1980 by Mr. Chris Tan, K G Catering began as a family-run business rooted in traditional values, discipline, and a genuine passion for good food. What started as a modest operation has grown steadily over the decades into a trusted halal catering provider serving a wide range of occasions across Singapore.
From the very beginning, our focus has always been clear — consistency, reliability, and uncompromising quality. These principles remain at the heart of how we operate today.
Early Foundations
In its early years, K G Catering operated the SATS In-flight Catering Centre Canteen, gaining valuable hands-on experience in large-scale food preparation and service environments. This exposure played a crucial role in shaping our operational discipline and structured approach to food production.
In 1983, the business expanded further by registering as a one-stop operation, functioning both as a restaurant and a catering service provider. This marked a key milestone in formalising operations and broadening service capabilities.
To support growing demand, K G Catering later established multiple food production and preparation units within the Aljunied Industrial Estate, strengthening our ability to manage volume while maintaining strict quality controls.
